For example, nun-inspired character design is not new to figure collecting. What sets this one apart, however, is how completely it commits to a single colour.

There is no white trim and no light fabric break. Almost the entire outfit sits in black, from the veil at the top of the head down to the lace-edged stockings.

Against that, every metal element becomes a focal point: layered necklaces, small cross pendants, chain belts across the hips, and silver rose ornaments set into the veil.

Consequently, the design is built on reflected light. On a dark shelf it reads as a silhouette; under a display spot it looks like a completely different piece.
