Restoration support

Local help. Remote guidance.

Local restoration services

TopGKStore works with craftspeople and experienced collectors who restore resin statues. Depending on the arrangement, local services may be free or paid.

The original repair guide lists partners in the United States, France, Spain, Italy, Thailand, Japan, the Philippines and Vietnam, among other regions. Ask our team about current availability for your location and case.

Remote restoration guidance

Our restoration team in China can provide remote guidance. When necessary, personnel from the original production factory may also assist.

Use the step-by-step guides below as basic reference material and contact your assistant for guidance suited to your statue.

Step-by-step repair reference

Two common repairs, explained

These guides cover reattaching a small broken detail and joining a larger hollow resin part. Share photos with TopGKStore before choosing an adhesive or starting work.

Before you begin

Photograph the damage and keep every fragment. Work on a stable, padded surface in a ventilated area. Use a resin-compatible adhesive recommended for your specific part, and follow its safety, handling and full-cure instructions. Keep adhesive away from skin, eyes and painted surfaces.

Guide 01 · Small detached details

Reattach a clean break

For a small decorative piece with matching edges and no missing material.

  1. Check the fit. Support the main statue and gently test the detached piece in its original position without glue. Do not force the edges together.
  2. Remove loose dust. Use a soft, dry brush on the mating surfaces. Keep the surrounding paint clean; avoid scraping away material.
  3. Prepare a small amount of adhesive. If the product allows, dispense a little onto a disposable mixing surface. Use a fine wooden applicator for control.
  4. Apply sparingly. Transfer a thin amount to the break surface, keeping it away from visible painted edges to limit squeeze-out.
  5. Align and support. Bring the matching edges together and hold gently in the correct position. Maintain support for the adhesive manufacturer’s stated fixture time.
  6. Allow a full cure. Leave the piece supported and undisturbed for the stated curing period. Inspect the joint before moving the statue; do not pull on the repaired detail to test it.

Stop and ask for help if the piece will not align, material is missing, or the repair must carry weight.

Guide 02 · Larger hollow parts

Join a hollow resin section

For matching shell edges, such as a detached section of sculpted hair. Larger parts need case-specific guidance.

  1. Plan the alignment. Place the part on a padded support. Check the entire seam without adhesive so you know how the sections meet.
  2. Clean the contact edges. Gently remove loose dust and debris. Keep both mating edges dry and free of loose particles.
  3. Apply toward the inner edge. Use a controlled, thin application on the contact area, as close to the inside as practical. Avoid the visible outer rim and excess adhesive.
  4. Bring the sections together. Match the sculpted lines and seam carefully. Support both sections rather than pressing on fine hair tips or fragile details.
  5. Keep the joint stable. Maintain alignment with a suitable padded support for the required fixture time. Do not keep opening and closing the joint.
  6. Cure, then inspect. Leave the assembly undisturbed until fully cured according to the adhesive instructions. Check the seam visually before handling or reinstalling it.

Professional assessment is recommended for heavy or load-bearing parts, unstable joints, large gaps, pins, magnets, or nearby wiring.

Adhesive and waiting times vary

There is no single glue or curing time suitable for every resin statue. Do not substitute a fixed waiting time for the instructions on your selected product. Filling, sanding, repainting and structural reinforcement require separate guidance from a restorer.

About resin & polystone

Fragile art, carefully supported

Studios provide custom packaging and our warehouse team adds reinforcement, but international transport can still cause small breaks, fine cracks or surface scratches. A completely flawless statue cannot be guaranteed.

If an issue is reported, we work with the studio to request replacement parts. Availability depends on the studio, particularly for limited editions.

Replacement-part shipping

TopGKStore covers transport from the studio to our warehouse. The collector is generally responsible for international shipment of replacement parts. See the Cancellation & Returns policy for the full after-sales conditions.
