MJM Exotic Princess Statue: A 1/7 Original Art Figure

Some figures start as a drawing rather than a script.

The MJM Modeling Department’s Exotic Princess Statue is built from an original illustration by the artist Waymay, and the release translates that artwork into resin at 1/7 scale.

The piece falls in the 16 to 25 cm height range and carries an 18+ female classification.

Pre-orders run at $96 for the deposit and $239 for full payment.

Who Is the Exotic Princess?

She is an original character rather than a licensed one, created by the artist Waymay and produced by MJM Modeling Department as a three-dimensional version of an illustration.

That origin decides what the piece is for. There is no series to watch first and no storyline behind the pose, so the illustration is the reference and the sculpt is judged on how faithfully it carries the drawing into three dimensions.

Her design is built around a single attitude: a playful glance, a relaxed posture, and black-and-white styling with a bunny-inspired edge.

The details are specific. Long dark brown hair, neat bangs, half-lidded eyes, a gloved hand resting near the face, and a luxurious sofa base that gives the character somewhere to belong.

Why Illustration-Based Figures Appeal

Artist originals attract a different buyer than licensed characters do.

These collectors follow the illustrator first and the character second. The purchase is closer to buying a print than buying merchandise, which is why expression and line quality matter more than edition size.

That is also the risk an Exotic Princess Statue takes: the pose is the content, so a soft portrait would leave the piece with nothing to hold the eye.

That also means the market is quieter. There is no film release to push demand and no anniversary reissue planned, so a piece like this stays tied to the people who recognised the artwork when it was announced.

For anyone tired of seeing the same six characters reissued, that is the appeal.

Reading the Exotic Princess Sculpt

Start with the face. This design lives or dies on a dreamy, slightly mischievous expression, and it is the hardest thing to reproduce from a drawing.

Then check the hair. Long sculpted hair with defined strands is the first place a resin cast shows shortcuts.

Finally, look at the sofa base. A furniture element adds scale context, and it has to match the figure in finish rather than looking like an afterthought.

On the Exotic Princess Statue the base doubles as a framing device, which is why it should be judged together with the figure rather than on its own.

Scale and Placement

At roughly 1/7 scale, the figure fits a shelf alongside most 1/6 and 1/7 collections without needing its own cabinet.

Allow extra room for the sofa base, since a seated pose spreads wider than a standing one.

Light it from the front at slightly below eye level. The pose is relaxed, and low, soft light suits that better than a harsh overhead source.

Deposit or Full Payment

The deposit is $96 and full payment is $239, which puts the deposit near forty percent of the total.

Both routes are open on the listing, and freight is quoted separately once the packed dimensions are confirmed.

Who This Exotic Princess Statue Suits

Collectors who follow original character releases will find the format familiar and the entry price reasonable.

It also suits anyone building a shelf around illustration-based designs, and buyers who want an adult-oriented piece that does not depend on a franchise.
