Baby Face Studio Black Maria Statue: One Piece at 1/6

Baby Face Studio One Piece Black Maria

One Piece has hundreds of characters. Very few of them have eight limbs.

Baby Face Studio’s Black Maria statue takes one of the Wano arc’s strangest designs and builds it at 1/6 scale, measuring 16 cm high with a 19.5 cm depth and 20 cm width.

Pre-orders run at $89 for the deposit and $329 for full payment, and the piece carries an 18+ female classification.

Who Is Black Maria?

Black Maria is a member of the Beasts Pirates, the crew led by Kaido, and one of the Tobiroppo, the six strongest Headliners beneath the All-Stars.

She appears during the Wano arc and runs a pleasure house on Onigashima, which is where her introduction takes place before she steps into the raid as a fighter.

Her Devil Fruit is the Kumo Kumo no Mi, Model: Rosamygale Grauvogel, an ancient zoan that gives her a spider form. In practice that means webs, illusions and a body that is half woman and half arachnid when the fight escalates.

Her design carries the same idea even in human form. Height, pale hair, horns, a Japanese-style outfit and a shamisen she uses during combat rather than for music.

Why Black Maria Is an Unusual Collectible

Wano gave One Piece its deepest bench of villain designs, and Black Maria sits at the top of that group for most collectors.

She is also a harder piece to produce than the usual Straw Hat. The spider elements, the layered kimono and the illusion effects all create shapes that do not survive a careless sculpt.

That is why merchandise for her is scarce compared with Nami, Robin or Boa Hancock. Collectors who follow the arc have fewer options to choose from, which raises the value of each release that does appear.

That scarcity is the argument for a Black Maria Statue: the character has few releases, so each one carries more weight in a Wano lineup.

The 18+ classification also narrows the field. This version is aimed at adult collectors rather than the general merchandise line.

Reading the Black Maria Sculpt

Start with the face. Black Maria is written as a performer, and a sculpt that loses the expression loses the character.

Then look at the costume. Layered fabric at 16 cm needs clean separations, and the Wano outfits give a studio plenty of opportunity to get it wrong.

The base matters too. A 20 cm width means the composition spreads sideways rather than upward, so check how much surface the full piece needs.

Those checks matter more on a Black Maria Statue than on a Straw Hat, because the reference material is thinner and the expectations run higher.

Space and Display

The height is modest at 16 cm, but the width is the number to plan around.

Allow at least 25 cm of shelf width so the piece does not sit flush against a divider, and check what hangs above it.

Light the figure from the front and slightly below eye level, and keep it out of direct sun. Wano palettes run warm, and strong light pushes them toward orange.

Deposit or Full Payment

The deposit is $89 and full payment is $329, which puts roughly a quarter of the cost up front.

Both routes are open on the listing, and freight is quoted separately once the packed dimensions are confirmed.

Who This Black Maria Statue Suits

One Piece collectors building a Wano lineup will find this one of the few options for the character.

It also suits anyone who already owns the Tobiroppo, and buyers who want a villain piece that is not another Kaido or Doflamingo reissue.
