LAPUTA-Studio – Porco Rosso Madame Gina & Porco Rosso TOPGK Limited Edition Statue With LED

📞 LAPUTA-Studio – Porco Rosso: Marco and Gina “The Missed Call” Resin Diorama

Two separate rooms. One telephone call. A quiet moment filled with longing, distance, and unspoken feelings.

Inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s beloved animated film Porco Rosso, LAPUTA-Studio introduces Marco and Gina: The Missed Call. This detailed resin diorama captures an intimate moment between two characters whose relationship carries years of affection and unspoken emotions.

Instead of focusing on aerial combat, this collectible explores the quieter side of the story. Gina listens from an elegant hotel room, while Porco Rosso answers from a weathered street corner. Although two separate spaces divide them, one telephone call connects their worlds.

The diorama measures approximately 16 × 16 × 26.5 cm. It combines detailed resin sculpting with solid black walnut wood, while integrated lighting adds warmth and atmosphere. Furthermore, its individually numbered limited edition makes it an appealing centerpiece for fans of Porco Rosso and cinematic collectibles.

📞 A Split-Scene Diorama That Tells a Story

The most distinctive feature of this release is its two-part composition. Rather than placing both characters in one conventional setting, LAPUTA-Studio creates two separate environments that collectors can display together.

On the left, Gina occupies a refined interior inspired by a classic European hotel. On the right, Porco stands beside a wall-mounted vintage telephone in a dim, weathered street setting.

These contrasting environments establish two different moods. Gina’s surroundings feel elegant and composed, while Porco’s corner appears worn and solitary. Yet the telephone connects them through a shared conversation.

As a result, the diorama tells a story without relying on dramatic action. Its thoughtful layout captures the emotional distance between the characters while highlighting the bond that still brings them together.

💜 Madame Gina: Elegance, Grace, and Longing

Gina wears a classic light-purple sleeveless dress, paired with a matching vintage-style hat and long white gloves. Her refined outfit reflects her sophisticated personality and complements the film’s nostalgic European atmosphere.

She leans forward slightly as she holds a gold-toned telephone receiver. Her gentle expression suggests affection and quiet longing. Moreover, her attentive pose gives the scene a natural, intimate quality.

The surrounding décor reinforces her elegance. Deep green walls provide a rich backdrop, while an ornate gold-framed painting adds a touch of old-world charm. Nearby, a decorative blue-and-white porcelain-style vase introduces another traditional accent.

A vintage telephone body rests on the table, completing the scene. Together, these details make Gina’s room feel warm, graceful, and full of character.

🐷 Porco Rosso: A Solitary Pilot on the Other End of the Line

Across the diorama, Marco Pagot—better known as Porco Rosso—wears his familiar khaki double-breasted coat, white hat, and round sunglasses. These signature elements preserve his instantly recognizable appearance.

He stands close to a weathered wall and holds the receiver of an old-fashioned wall-mounted telephone. With his head lowered and a cigarette in hand, Porco appears reserved and slightly uneasy.

This understated pose reveals a more vulnerable side of the experienced pilot. Beneath his tough exterior, he remains a man with complicated feelings and a deep personal history.

Meanwhile, the surrounding details strengthen the atmosphere. Aged blue-green wooden panels, industrial-style lighting, worn notes, framed sketches, and rough stone paving give the street corner a lived-in appearance.

The contrast with Gina’s elegant room makes the scene even more compelling. However, the telephone remains the visual focus, encouraging viewers to imagine what Porco might feel as he listens to her voice.

🖼️ Cinematic Environmental Details

LAPUTA-Studio gives each half of the diorama its own visual identity. Through contrasting colors, textures, and decorative elements, the design creates two distinct settings within one collectible.

Gina’s interior features deep green walls, ornate gold framing, a decorative vase, and vintage telephone equipment. Together, these elements evoke a sophisticated European setting with a romantic, nostalgic character.

Porco’s street corner features aged blue-green wood, industrial metal accents, weathered paper details, and textured stone paving. These rougher surfaces create a sense of solitude and contrast with Gina’s polished surroundings.

Consequently, the complete diorama rewards close inspection. Collectors can appreciate the details of each scene individually or bring both halves together to experience the full narrative.

💡 Integrated Lighting and Rechargeable Design

Beyond its sculpted details, this release features built-in lighting that enhances the atmosphere of the miniature environments. The integrated system includes a lithium battery and circuit board, along with a Type-C charging port and dedicated switch.

The illumination adds another dimension to the display. In a dimly lit room, it can help draw attention to the architectural details and create a more cinematic mood.

Additionally, the rechargeable design offers a practical alternative to disposable batteries. Collectors should consult the studio’s final instructions for operating details and recommended charging practices.

🌳 Resin Craftsmanship Meets Black Walnut Wood

The statue combines resin and solid black walnut wood, pairing intricate sculpted details with the natural warmth of real wood.

Resin allows the figures, telephones, wall decorations, and architectural elements to showcase detailed forms. Meanwhile, the black walnut wood introduces a distinctive material accent that complements the vintage-inspired setting.

At approximately 16 cm long, 16 cm wide, and 26.5 cm tall, the diorama offers a compact footprint. Even so, its layered composition provides plenty of visual interest.

Therefore, it suits a dedicated display shelf, a themed cabinet, or a collection focused on Studio Ghibli-inspired art pieces.
