About Detective Pretty Cure!

Detective Pretty Cure! is the 23rd television anime installment in Toei Animation’s long-running Pretty Cure franchise, directed by Koji Kawasaki with scripts by Isamu Murayama. It premiered on February 1, 2026, on TV Asahi and ABC in Japan. Marking the first time in a decade that the franchise has used kanji characters in its title, the series centers on a detective and time-travel theme, with the core philosophy of “observe for yourself, feel for yourself, think for yourself, and find the true answer”.

The story follows 14-year-old Anna Akechi, who is transported from 2027 back to 1999’s Makoto Mirai City, where she meets Mikuru Kobayashi, a girl who dreams of becoming a great detective. Together, they witness the Phantom Thief Troupe stealing precious artifacts and transform into Pretty Cure to fight back. The series is notable for being the first in the franchise to feature a Pretty Cure fighting on the side of the enemy.

About Moria Ruruka

Moria Ruruka (also localized as Luluka Moria) is one of the most talked-about characters in Detective Pretty Cure!. Voiced by Nao Toyama, she is a Pretty Cure who, for reasons unknown, operates as a member of the villainous Phantom Thief Troupe. She transforms into Cure Arcana Shadow, and her fairy partner is Masutanton. She is the first “enemy Pretty Cure” revealed before the anime’s broadcast and the first villain character to dance alongside the other Pretty Cure in the TV anime’s ending sequence—a subversion of expectations that instantly made her a fan favorite.

Ruruka’s true identity is a genius detective who has solved countless major cases in London. She is laid-back, independent, and refuses to be confined by social expectations. Her most iconic trait is her deep love for ice cream—she is almost never seen without one, often eating multiple cones or bars in a single episode. Her catchphrase is, “There is no ice cream that won’t melt, and no mystery that can’t be solved”. In her transformed state, she has long golden hair with pink gradient tips, crimson eyes (purple in her civilian form), and wears a black outfit adorned with purple teardrop ornaments, topped with a black ♦-shaped tiara. This swimsuit version perfectly captures that same color palette and ethereal aesthetic in a relaxed, beachside setting.

Product Highlights

This 1/6 scale figure by Bunny Cast Studio brings Ruruka’s most recognizable on-screen moment—enjoying an ice cream on the beach—to life in stunning detail. The figure captures her mid-bite, tongue touching the ice cream cone, with her signature golden-pink gradient hair flowing in the sea breeze. Translucent material is used for the hair tips, giving them a light, airy quality.

Her black lace bikini echoes the color scheme of her transformed outfit, with a petal-shaped skirt featuring purple teardrop accents. The white lace wrist cuffs and black star-shaped hair ornament are faithfully reproduced. The beach base is equally detailed: fine sand texture, shallow blue waves washing ashore, scattered seashells and driftwood, and a blue-and-white striped beach towel—all combining to create a vivid summer seaside atmosphere. The skin shading is natural and realistic, with soft, clean coloring that perfectly matches Ruruka’s cool yet lively personality.
